Flower SPA – treatment for orchids

Flower SPA is an innovative fertilization formula in which every plant need is considered individually. It is a set of three different mineral fertilizers, intended for all varieties of orchids. Three fertilizers are placed in easy-to-use ampoules.

Każda each amploule contains a fertilizer of various composition with appropriately selected macro- and micro-components: 

• Flower SPA 1 –  provides intensive coloration of leaves and prolongs flowering
• Flower SPA 2 – strengthens the root system, increasing the efficiency of water and nutrient uptake
• Flower SPA 3 –complements nutrient deficiencies increasing the resistance of orchids to unfavorable factors

Flower SPA 1 – Ampoule contains easily absorbed nitrogen, which is quickly absorbed by the plant and provides intense green color of the leaves. In the case of orchids, we are particularly interested in long and abundant flowering. To flower, all plants need large amounts of potassium, which can be found in properly balanced doses in the first ampoule. Flower SPA 1 will give plants a boost of energy, stimulating them to bloom and prolonging the flowering period of flowering plants. The care of orchids is complemented by further ampoules, in which we also find potassium in a slightly smaller amount.

Flower SPA 2 – If your orchid does not grow too much, start fertilizing with Flower SPA 2. Young seedlings, orchids with a weak root system, as well as orchids after the winter need intensive regeneration. Flower SPA 3 strengthens the root system, which results in increased efficiency of water and nutrient uptake. The roots of orchids are very specific, for example in Phalaenopsis, the roots not only take water and nutrients, but also breathe and carry out photosynthesis. That’s why, just like the leaves, the root is green, because it contains a green dye – chlorophyll, involved in the process of photosynthesis. The development of the characteristic roots of orchids is supported by nitrogen, phosphorus in appropriate forms, as well as a number of micronutrients, i.e. boron, manganese, zinc. Only with a suitably developed root system (adequate to the surface of the leaves), the orchid is able to ensure proper firmness and hydration of the leaves.

Flower SPA 3 – Supplements nutrient deficiencies by preventing chlorosis and other discoloration of the leaves due to the increased amount of nitrogen and iron. If your orchids are already suffering from nutritional deficiencies, start fertilizing with Flower SPA 3, which will quickly regenerate plants, preparing them for intensive growth and flowering. Remember that properly fed plants are less susceptible to diseases or pests.

Application method

The ampoules can be used in any order.

Each subsequent ampoule should be used within 2 weeks. The finished treatment can be repeated after one month.

How to cultivate orchids with Flower SPA?

1. Choose any ampoule that contains 30 ml of fertilizer and dissolve its contents in 4 liters of water.
2. The solution prepared in this way is enough to water many plants. Depending on the type, orchids can be watered in two ways:

a) DIRECTLY TO FLOWER: Pour the plants in a quantity such as during a routine watering. In this way, we water the orchids belonging to, among others to the genus Dendrobium.

b) THROUGH THE NURSING IN A SOLUTION WITH WATER: Pour water into the casing in which there is an orchid in a transparent pot. You can also take the orchid out of the casing and immerse the pot with the orchid in the container with the Flower SPA solution. Remember that the water should reach below the rosette. After several minutes, the orchid should be removed from the water. During this time, the plant will take the necessary amount of water and nutrients contained in the fertilizer. Some fertilizer components with water will penetrate into a specialized medium for orchids (cortex, peat, coconut fibers, expanded clay) and will be available for the plant at a later time. In this way, we water the orchids belonging to, among others to the genus Phalaenopsis

3. The next selected ampoule should be used after two weeks. We use it in the same way as the previous one.
4. The last ampoule is used after the next two weeks.
