What makes Plantacote fertilizers special?

Plantacote is a complete, multi-component fertilizer determined by environmental factors, i.e. humidity and ambient temperature. This is the fertilizer that releases nutrients the longest in the Agrecol offer. Thanks to the use of special paving technology, fertilization can be carried out only once in the growing season.

The semi-permeable coating ensures the release of nutrients into the soil for 5-6 months (180 days). The release of nutrients is regulated by a semi-permeable coating. Under the influence of moisture, water penetrates through the pores in the shell. Thanks to the natural process of osmosis, macro- and microelements dissolved in water are gradually released into the soil. Each granule contains nitrogen, potassium, phosphorus.

Penetration of ingredients, like plant growth, is also correlated with soil temperature. At lower temperatures, plants grow more slowly and less nutrients are released. As the temperature increases, the amount of macro- and microelements that the plant absorbs through the root system increases, and the release of fertilizer components also increases.

After the components are taken up by plants, the coating breaks down as a result of physical and chemical processes as well as the activity of microorganisms.

The encapsulated granules prevent the fertilizer from leaching into the deeper layers of the soil, inaccessible to plant roots. In this way, more nutrients are used by plants (up to 80-90%). The use of encapsulated fertilizer reduces the risk of over-fertilization, while protecting the natural environment.

Usage

Use once a year at the beginning of the growing season in spring (March, April or May). Fertilize at a dose of 25 – 50 g per 1 m2 of lawn surface. After spreading the fertilizer, water the lawn generously with water. In order to ensure proper nutrition of plants, care should be taken to maintain optimal soil moisture throughout
growing season.

One handful is about 40 – 50 g granules.
