Rhododendron and azalea fertilizer is a granular, mineral fertilizer. It’s intended for fertilization of all varieties of rhododendrons, azaleas and other heath plants. You can also use this fertilizer in cultivation of other acidophilic plants.
The fertilizer contains optimal doses of macro- and microelements adapted to the needs of heath plants. The basic feature distinguishing the fertilizer for rhododendrons and azaleas is the ability to maintain the correct acidic pH of the substrate, which is very important in the cultivation of heath plants. It is only in such a reaction that rhododendrons, azaleas and other heather plants are able to collect all the ingredients from the soil. Rhododendrons and azaleas very often suffer from diseases caused by nutrient deficiency. Symptoms of deficiencies are various types of discoloration and stains on the leaves. Sometimes, due to a shortage, the plants do not bloom. Nitrogen and trace element – iron are fertilizer ingredients that we can easily supplement with fertilizer. Their deficiency is confirmed by inter-vein yellow discoloration of the leaves. The brown spots on the leaves are a boron deficiency that will also complement the fertilizer for azaleas and rhododendrons. Potassium provides leaves with adequate firmness due to proper water management in the plant’s tissues, but also extends the flowering period. High potassium content also has a positive effect on the overall appearance of plants, their health and their resistance to freezing. Properly selected macro- and microelements ensure proper growth, abundant flowering and intensive flower coloration.
Use from March to August, every 45-60 days.
From September you should use autumn fertilizer.
