Rhododendron fertilizer

Rhododendron fertilizer – a crystalline fertilizer for dissolution in water. Designed for feeding all varieties of azaleas and azaleas and other representatives of acidophilous plants. It can be used in the cultivation of other plants of the heather family, e.g. heathers, heaths, blueberries, gauteria, pieris, kalmi, skimii and others.

Due to the content of appropriate nitrogen forms, fertilizer affects the acidification of the soil, which improves the conditions for the development of acidophilic plants. In their proper reaction, they are able to take all nutrients. Perennial plants often suffer from iron deficiency, which is only available to them in an acidic environment. Symptoms are intravenous chlorosis – yellow discolorations on the leaves. Fertilizer supplements these deficiencies and facilitates its absorption, so rhododendrons recover. The deficiency of other nutrients causes disturbances in the development of plants to such an extent that they can even stop blooming. Plants fed properly during the growing season create a large number of flower buds that will bloom next season. Systematically used fertilizer will also increase the frost resistance of plants, and also ensures better storage of water in evergreen leaves.

Application method

Fertilize from March to the end of August, every 14 days. Use by watering, after thorough dilution in water in the ratio: 1 teaspoon of fertilizer for 5 liters of water (1 g of fertilizer per 1 liter of water). For every 1 meter height / diameter of the plant crown use 5 grams of fertilizer. In the case of plants in the flowering phase, it is recommended to double the dose or use the fertilizer every 7 days. For fertilizing it is best to use watering cans without a strainer. When watering flowering plants, try not to pour flowers. Do not exceed the recommended doses because the fertilizer is highly condensed. This fertilizer can also be used in drip irrigation systems.
